NOTE: The Healing Place loves to have volunteers who are in recovery, but 1 years’ sobriety is required prior to volunteering.

Computer Programming Assistant

Assist with modifying existing or developing new computer programs; projects can be ongoing or short-term.

Computer Applications Assistant

Teach client classes on basic word processing and keyboarding; assist with training staff in using Microsoft Office applications to create relational databases, reports and the like.

Data Analyst

Use longitudinal data to develop reports on trends and other statistical measures; analyze data to provide factual basis to determine future program direction.

Medical Assistant

RNs, LPNs, CNAs needed to assist with clinics and TB testing; taking patient histories, performing triage, assisting physicians.

Food Service Assistant

Assist in serving food to clients in one of our two cafeterias that serve food 7 days a week.

Food Service Assistant-Mobile Unit

Assist in preparing and serving pre-cooked food in our mobile food unit, to be located at the NC State Fair and other area festivals and events. Four-hour shifts, weekdays and weekends.

Transport Assistant

Assist in transporting clients to medical, legal and educational appointments; pickup food donations from area donors; pickup and deliver mail between the two facilities and post office.

Office Assistant

Assist staff with filing, assembling informational packets, mailings, and other office duties.

Special Projects Assistant

Assist staff with special projects, such as State Fair food service, Fall and Holiday Festival.
