IN-KIND DONATIONS

The Healing Place is always in need of "slightly used" items.
Here are some frequently asked questions:

What can The Healing Place use?Tools

We accept donations of books, toys, men's women's or children's clothing, linens, major appliances, tools, furniture and electronics.

Gently used items are of benefit. Items which no longer function, or are worn out are of no use to The Healing Place or its clients.

When and where can I drop off items?

Items may be dropped off for donation at the men's facility (near the Farmer's Market in Raleigh) or the women's facility (near Umstead Park on Highway 70) 24 hours per day, 7days per week. In addition, during store hours, contributions can be dropped off at The Healing Place Thrift Store Click here for maps.

Does The Healing Place pick up items?

Yes, we pick up items Monday, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays between 12:30-1:00 pm. Please be aware that we charge a $20 "pick-up" fee. (If the items are to be removed from upstairs rooms or if non-donated furniture needs to be moved we may charge an additional $20 to $40 fee.)
