Message from Executive Director

I understand that age is a prime factor, but each year seems to pass more quickly than the one before. This year, in particular, has been an eventful one for each of us in the USA and even the entire world. The presidential and local elections took center stage in a whirlwind of economic stress, fluctuating gas prices, bank failures, world strife, and political division in finding real answers to our problems.

Despite all of the turmoil and stress, it seems that somehow hope has emerged from our struggles and, once again, reigns triumphant. It strikes me that this very same sense of hope makes up the base of the core mission of The Healing Place. In the midst of emotional, spiritual, and financial turmoil, we help men and women who have lost hope regain that most valuable perspective. It is at this very juncture that the true starting point of productive and meaningful change occurs. We “help people find their way back”.

Executive Director - Dennis Parnell As an organization, we also maintain that same hope for our most important work in spite of difficult and uncertain economic times. As much as we believe in our clients, we also believe in you, our contributors and supporters. We trust that you will continue to give generously of your time, talent, and money to reach down and help those that are most in need…and we need your help more than ever! I wish to take this opportunity to genuinely thank you for all the support you have given in the past years. We ask that you continue to keep us in your minds and hearts as we finish this pivotal year and look together towards better times in the coming years. Our sincere wishes for a wonderful Holiday Season and a Happy and Healthy New Year filled with joy and hope!

Dennis Parnell
Executive Director
