We operate
the only wet shelter in Wake County, accepting a client who is drunk or on
drugs for the night or for the entire program.
The Healing
Place van runs daily at 4 p.m. from the South Wilmington Street Men's
Center, 1420 S. Wilmington Street, to the
men's facility. A van runs
daily at 3:15 p.m. from the Women's Center on Blount Street across from
Moore Square to the women's facility.

Overnight guests will receive a TB test. Guests are given a chance to
clean up, eat dinner and relax in a safe environment. Lights out is at 10
p.m. Wake up and breakfast are at 5:30 a.m. Clients not participating in the
recovery services must be off campus by 7 a.m. daily.
In winter,
when temperatures are below freezing, The Healing Place can accommodate
additional clients as part of the Wake County White Flag program to bring
people into shelters during inclement weather.
