The Healing Place of
Wake County (www.hpowc.org) is a non-profit
501(c)(3) homeless shelter that offers a long-term, 12-step based, peer run recovery
program for men and women with alcoholism and other drug addiction. Our success
rate is measured by the percentage of successful clients sober one year after graduating
from the program. In 2008, that percentage was over 65%.
